"Myrmidon" Jack Russell Terriers are acknowledged to be the leading quality Jack Russell Terriers in Australia. The Owner/ Breeder of the Myrmidons is Jocelyn Cansdell who has devoted many years of her life to achieving high quality, soundness in conformation and great temperament in these little dogs since she first obtained one eighteen years ago.
Jocelyn herself is a Jack Russell Specialist Judge and was made the Honorary President of the Jack Russell Club of Tokyo and Judge for Jack Russell Terriers in Japan.
As a result of this dedication, Jocelyn has bred the first two Grand Champion Jack Russell Terriers in the world - The famous Grand Champion Myrmidon Jack Cam and Grand Champion Myrmidon Jack Lairdsley. To date she has a total of FIVE grand champions.
Jocelyn has bred nearly 120 Champions and their quality has been greatly praised by all International Judges who have seen them. The top Jack Russell Terrier in Japan (1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002)) was bred by Jocelyn.
The top awards won by Jocelyn Cansdell's Jack Russell Terriers are far too numerous to list. Some awards include, Best In Show, Best In Group, Top Jack Russell Terrier Of The Year, Top Jack Russell Terrier Puppy Of The Year, Top Breeder Of The Year, many, many, Royal Challenges and Best Of Breeds in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Hobart.
Myrmidon’s puppies have been exported to many overseas clients including exported to South Africa, USA, New Zealand, Spain, Italy. Sweden, Japan, Finland, Malaysia, Singapore, Portugal and most recently Germany. Jocelyn is fully knowledgeable in Export Procedures and has no objection to letting her dogs go to overseas homes, providing the conditions in their homes meet her criteria.
