Tributes to Jocelyn...
Ch Myrmidon Jack Jasper has received the Best of Breed award in the recent dog show in Singapore. This is a tribute to Jocelyn who had been a wonderful friend and an excellent breeder. We miss you Jocelyn!
At the recent Sydney Royal show in April 2004, Myrmidon
ONCE AGAIN were awarded BEST of BREED. This was our FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR of being awarded this
honor.
My winner this year was the beautiful Aust Champ Myrmidon
Jack KOALA with his half brother Aust Grand Champ Myrmidon Jack Ozzie Boy
being awarded the Reserve
Challenge. Both these boys are sired by my Aust Champ
Myrmidon Jack Rascal who himself won Sydney Royal Challenge in 2000.
Then to cap this Aust Grand Champ Myrmidon Jack Ozzie Boy was awarded Challenge Certificate at the Jack Russell Specialty show.
MYRMIDON GRAND Champion Myrmidon Jack Ozzie Boy which has just been awarded TOP JACK RUSSELL in NSW for the 2nd successive year.... what an achievement. This award is given by Ozdog and is judged on the number of Best in Show, runner up in show, Best in Group and runner up in group awards only.
Incidentally, Aust GRAND champ Myrmdon Jack Factor was a close runner up to Ozzie Boy... Congratulations to owners Kerry Ford and Sharon Stevenson.
Wonderful to find that in Northern Territory Aust Ch. Myrmidon Jack Perky, owned by Sandy and Ian Irlam, was awarded TOP TERRIER, ALL BREEDS, thus making her automatically Top JR
To make it even better, another Myrmidon, Aust Ch Myrmidon Jack Topper was awarded TOP JR in Queensland. Topper is owned by Ike and Anya Kalla of Mount Isa though both are born in Finland...
What a feather in the cap for the Myrmidons.
INTERNATIONAL NEWS
Swedish, Italian, Aust Champ Myrmidon Jack Nimiss has also gained
the title of International Champion when he won his Austrian Championship
title but I am just waiting to see whether he has to do the den
test as well. NIMISS is owned by Cerite and Henrik Bourgstroem of
Sweden and is currently on lease to and handled by Francesca Scorza
and Maurizio Marsolo,
those wonderful advocates for the Jack Russell breed, in Italy.
Have just heard that Aust Champ Myrmidon Jack Mica got Top Jack Russell in Japan
this year. CONGRATULATIONS to GENJI OZEKI!
Incidentally I have been invited to judge the first Jack Russell Specialty Show in Japan next year....looking forward to my return trip there.

Kastari of Finland, HAS NOW ATTAINED THE TITLE OF international
champion... this is a most difficult achievement as must gain
6 CACIB from 3 different countries plus an IN GROUND TITLE, which
consists of the jr being underground and barking at the fox for minimum
of 30 minutes.
What a wonderful achievement for Danzey......Thank you Helena for doing all this work with Danzey.
PLEASE NOTE that on the Pretorium Website there are 3 dogs pictured with only one word names. Camor, Suzuki, Tuppence or Nika (below). These dogs are all Myrmidon and their names should read respectively Aust Ch Myrmidon Jack Camor, Aust Ch Myrmidon Jack Suzuki and Aust Ch Myrmidon Jack Nika.
