The Rescue

 
  encampments are being set up. The path to a temple is clearly marked. 

The party travels to the temple and in the courtyard find some half-orcs and humans milling about and nothing more than a few crates and a wagon with tubes sticking out of it. Probably some sort of ale wagon or something. The party turns over the brigand to them claiming they want "50 gold for bringing a captive". The party is paid. Small talk proves useless in finding information and the party leaves before arousing suspicions. An attempt to enter via the temple stables is also unsuccessful. 

Scouting the town finds a ruined and vacant building near the temple that provides some shelter and a means to observe the temple. Three entrances are observed.

Eleasias 15

The party observes the temple and sees few comings and goings. One party that visits the temple is followed back to the inn but nothing of use is overheard.

Eleasias 16

The party observes no new behavior and chooses to enter the temple at night through the stable doors. Some resistance is met but is easily handled. The party finds the inside of the temple (or at least this part) in very poor repair (as if attacked by destruction spells) and filled with very narrow hallways. 

On the first level, the party finds the temple graveyard and avoids that (though not before an undead beast attempts to attack Conor). A passage down leads to dirt tunnels that appear to be filled with giant ants and insect men. Several battles are undertaken; including one with a giant larva. The insect men appears to be very able fighters, tough and in some cases wielding two weapons and the party finds itself worn down and low on resources. Resting appears to be out of the question as eventually the parties entrance will soon be discovered.
