Examination Pattern Questions: In honoring the PMI Code of Conduct for the exam takers I will not be disclosing information on any specific questions. But the following is a pattern of questions from the various chapters based on my exam. This will provide an idea to the test takers on what to concentrate on and what to expect on the test.
The
following is the typical expected pattern of the questions: Initiating
Process:
- Need Identification, Feasibility, Product or service description,
responsibilities, Charter Statement & Project manager selection Planning
Process:
- Major focus
can be on Schedule Development, Resource Planning, Risk
management Planning, Project plan development, cost estimating and Procurement
Planning (these processes constituted about 23 % of the total test questions on
my exam), Expect a lot of scenario based questions - Secondary
focus was on Scope Planning, Scope Definition, Activity
Definition, Activity Sequencing, Activity Duration Estimation, Communications
Planning, Quality Planning & organizational Planning (these processes
constituted about 12% of the total test questions on my exam)
- Major focus on Project Plan execution, Team development and
Contract Administration (these processes constituted about 17 % of the test
questions on my exam), Expect a sizeable chunk of
scenario based questions - Secondary focus on Scope verification, Quality assurance and
Information distribution (about 2.5% of questions on each process) Control
