Is Age of Mythology similar to Age of Empires 2?
The interface and creator of The Age of Kings and Age of Mythlolgy are similar. However, The Age of Empires games strived from more historical accuracy and an air of legitimacy and Age of Mythology will mostly be about lore, religions, and fairy tales of civilizations like the Egyptians, Greek, and Norse.

Where does it's name ("Mythology") come from?
As already mentioned above, Age of Mythology will provide special mythical creatures and an inclusion of god powers. In addition to your standart units, you will get special units, such as the Norse frost giant, the Greek minotaur, cyclops, medusa, and the Egyptian Anubis, with unique powers that can easily turn the tide of a battle. Certian heroes also have the ability to call upon their gods for favors. Yet, you must have enough "favor" from that god in stock for the miracle to take place, and casting takes time and requires you to move your heroes onto the battlefield. So if you never take your heroes out of your protective walls, you will never get the ability to blast your enemies to blackened dust with Zeus's mighty lightning storm.

Has Ensemble Studios made any improvements with the grafic?
Yes! Ensemble has further refined their already heighly polished RTS formula. In addition, Age of Mythology includes a new, fully 3D engine that allows you to smoothly zoom in and out, rotate the camera at will, and allows all units, especially special mythical units to look super detailed and crisp.
