Muslim Youth League Mission Statement

Today, Muslims are in need of a comprehensive solution based upon islamic knowledge through the Quran and the example of the Holy Prophet Muhammed sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam, it its original, traditional and clearest form. Allah, the most exalted has bestowed upon the muslim ummah the way of Minhaj-ul-Quran. In its aim to please Allah, it wants to bring about a universal, spiritual, educational, social, economic and cultural revolution based upon the dynamic and everlasting love and obedience to Allah and his Beloved Prophet, Muhammed sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam. The struuggle comprises of the promotion of islamic knowledge and awareness, the revival of Islamic moral values, organising Muslim Da'wa on a universal basis, and the enforcement of islam as a political, economic and social system.

FIVE STAGES OF THE MOVEMENT

Minhaj-ul-Quran is not a name of an utopian ideology or phantom philosophy. It is a force of struggle, a march and emotion. Therefore, the movement has worked out a detailed strategy through which it will have to achieve its targets. We have set the journey to the ultimate aim of Islamic glory and grandeur in five stages or phases :

1. Propagation : At this stage every member promises to take part according to his capacity to help present the movements way of perceiving, analyzing and interpreting among various communities all over the world.

2. Organization : The people who accept our invitation to join the mission are organized in regular societies, associations and leagues which are working from rural level to the international.

3. Education : In the centres and community halls owned and run by the Movement the members will receive proper education and training. They will be taught different Islamic disciplines from theology and philosophy to practical character building, the art of teaching, and social theory.

4. Implementation : In this stage those who adopt the lines of the prophetic struggle will have to take practical stages, display actual skills and carry out social and communal activities in accordance with the aims of the movement.

5. Reformation : In order to achieve revival and revitalization of the Islamic code internally and externally actual changes, reformation and renewal of the systems are called for. These will, God-willingly, lead to the world-wide glory and dignity of the Islamic code, mode and model and with it peaceful and harmonious co-existence.

ORGANIZATIONAL SETUP

When you identify yourself with the aims and objectives of the Minhaj-ul-Quran movement and commit to work for it, then the question arises how to join the mission. The Movement is striving at different levels, through different sections and departments with varied methodology to achieve its objectives. You can take part in the struggle for and to Islam from any platform, according to your position and preference. Its most important departments and sub-organizations are as under :

1. Idara Minhaj-ul-Quran Having been founded in 1981, the Idara is the oldest institution of the movement and so to speak, the central organ. The Idara is rendering its services at international level in the fields of propagation, preaching and literary pursuit as well as spiritual and moral education. It is a non-political organization as well as a non-governmental organization. Hence you can join it irrespective of any political affiliation and sympathy. Participation in Idara is open to persons of both sexes and all ages.

2. Pakistan Awami Tehreek This forum of the Movement is striving practically for the establishment of social welfare and educational well-being in the society. The efforts are, however, carried out, purely on non-political basis and without indulging in electioneering politics. At the first stage Pakistan Awami Tehreek ("Pakistan Peoples Movement") is struggling for a social and educational revolution. For this purpose ten thousand "Awami Taleemi Markiz" (Mass Education Centres) are planned to be established all over the country. Here young volunteers will educate illiterate people and thus increase the knowledge and understanding of the masses.

3. Minhaj-ul-Quran Welfare Society The movement of Minhaj-ul-Quran on one hand cures and alleviates moral, spiritual and intellectual ailments and on the other, with the establishment of the Welfare Society, it answers the cries of the poor by arranging social and humanitarian projects. The society is running free dispenceries, free ambulance services, free blood banks and free tuition centres throughout Pakistan Family Relief, providing financial aid (Qarz-e-Hasana) to needy people and presenting dowry to orphan girls at the time of their marriage are among other activities of the society. Moreover, the society provides financial assistance and material help among affected people during floods and other natural calamities. The society is permanently active in 30 Districts of Pakistan and establishes short-term projects in other countries as well

4. Muslim Youth League If you are between 13 and 25 years of age, you can join Muslim Youth League (MYL). In Pakistan it is assisting in increasing the literacy rate. But besides education it is also serving the cause of preaching, promoting a spiritual uplift and spreading the word of truth among the perplexed and persecuted Muslim Youth. In the institutions of higher education an intellectual forum under the name of "Mustafavi Students Movement" is also active for the purpose of the ideological and conceptual propagation of Islam on a higher academic plane. In Europe, America and Australia lectures, symposia and classes on Islamic thinking are arranged as a part of the activities. Another main and prime object in these continents is informing and enlightening the non-Muslims about the reality of Islam. The platform of Muslim Youth League, the young generation, is considered to be the treasure of the movement and the key to the future.

5. Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League No radical change is possible without the participation of and co-operation with half of humanity namely womanhood. The Women League is committed to accomplishing valuable efforts for creating a sense of affection and attachment to religion among women. Islamic virtues as chastity, dignity and nobility are sought to be highlighted, realized and eventually, mobilized. Female Muslims are organizing themselves steadily at this platform with profound inspiration and sincere motivation, leaving no doubt that they are prepared to do their part for the glory of Gracious and the betterment of the believers.

6. Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council This council is the group of responsible educationists, academics and scholars. Its main target is to combat general frustration and way worldliness, restlessness and rootlessness as a result of the mounting malady of secularism. Apart from this the fight against sectarianism, the imbecile and immoral strives between different denominations and schools of thought has utmost priority. The members of the council are regarded as the spokesmen and chief ideologists of the movement.
