Antwon Fisher (2002) PG-13 Drama
Autobiographical tale of Antwon Fisher (Derek Luke), a navy sailor often unable to control his anger.
After several fights, he is assigned to have weekly meetings with psychiatrist (Denzell Washington) where he
reveals the tales of his life that lead to his anger.
Collateral (2004) R
Max(Jamie Foxx) is a taxi-cab driver who has just picked up Vincent (Tom Cruise). Vincent offers
$700 for 5 stops. Turns out those five stops are to assasanate 5 people. Max has no way out and certain
to die as every attempt to escape is spoiled by ill-fate. Great story of conflict with clever humor but
the ending is certainly predictable.
Fatal Attraction (1987) R *This is a classic
Dan (Micheal Douglas) is being terrorized by a woman (Glen Close) that he had a one-night stand with. To
him it was just one night, to her it was the start of something serious. Refusing to let it go, the
woman starts harassing Dan until it escalades into a violent ending.
Ghost (1983) PG-13 Drama *This is a classic
After being murdered, Sam comes back to earth as a ghost. He finds out his murderer is planning to also kill
his wife Molly ( Demi Moore). Sam can do nothing about it until he meets Oda Mae Brown,
(Whoopi Goldberg) a physic who can hear him speak. Sam has to convince Oda Mae to help save Molly's life.
GothiKa (2003) R Horror
Dr.Grey (Halle Berry) is a phsycologist who finds herself in a mental ward being accused of
brutally killing her husband. She has no memory of the event, however a spirit begins sending
her messages and she begins putting it together. When she explains the spirit and messages to the doctors,
they become more convinced she's crazy. Against the odds, she has to prove her innocence and sanity.
Misery (1990) R *This is a classic
Paul Sheldon (James Cann) writer of a romance series called Misery is rescued from a winter wreck by one
of his biggest fans, Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates). While nursing Paul back to health at her home, Annie gets to
read the next book in the Misery series. When she learns the main character dies, she then torments Paul and holds him captive,
forcing him to re-write the book.
Negotiator (1998) R *This is a classic
Danny Roman ( Samuel L. Jackson) , a police negotiator, has been charged with the murder of his partner.
To prove his innocence, Roman seals himself inside the Internal Affairs Office threatning to kill innocent people.
A clever movie that keeps you attached as Roman claws his way to the truth behind the murder.
Perfect Murder (1998) R *This is a classic
Stephen (Micheal Douglas), finds out that his wife Emily is having an affair with David, a scam artist who targets rich women.
Stephen confronts David and gives him a choice to either get turned in to the police or kill Emily. He
chooses to kill Emily. Stephen has a very detailed plan for the man to enter his house and kill Emily. However,
something goes wrong and Emily ends up killing her attacker.Stephen then goes through several steps to try and
cover his back and keep the heat off him
A Thin Line Between Love and Hate (1996 ) R
Ladies man Darnell Wright ( Martin Lawrence) finds the ultimate challenge when a wealthy attractive woman visits
his club one night. After several attempts, he pulls her in, then leaves her high and dry after he's had his fun.
She feels used and sets out to ruin Darnell's life. Similiar to Fatal Attraction and just as good.
Shawshank Redemption (1994) R *This is a classic
Andy Dufrane (Tim Robbins) has just been sentenced to life for murders he didn't commit. Shaw Shank Redemption
follows Andy as he uses his smarts and wits to make it at Shaw Shank. "One of the best movies ever made".
