Namie Amuro is actually 3/4 Japanese and 1/4 Italian. Her mom was 3/4 Japanese and 1/4 Italian and her dad full Japanese. She was once the lead member in a Japanese group called the Super Monkey's at the age of 14. However, most of the fame was focused on her and not the other members of the group. So she decided to go solo. That group Super Monkey's is now called MAX. She has recently suffered a crisis when her brother-in-law murdered her mother. This was very hard on her and most people thought she would put her music career on hold (especially since she has a 4 year old son). But she's still a very famous J-singer and still got the funky flow ^_^!
