Chickpea Steak
Bring soaked chickpeas and 10 C water to a boil in a soup pot. Turn down to a low flame and add the rest of the ingredients. Stir well mixing everything together.

Cook on the lowest flame possible while still allowing a soft boil. Cook until liquids have evaporated and a thick sauce remains. This might take anywhere from one to two hours, depending on your burner and pot.

NOTES; Best served with
Moroccan Flat Breads or with Pita Bread.
Dried beans of any kind can be used instead of the chickpeas in this recipe. It will be just as good! Prepare in the exact same way. Remember to soak the beans for 12-24 hours before use.
2 C dry chickpeas
( soaked for 12-24 hours )
10C water
3 T tomato paste
1 t crushed garlic
1/4 C parsley ( chopped )
3 C round steak ( cubed )
1 t cumin
1/2 t salt
1/8 t pepper
1 t chili flakes
1/2 t paprika
1/2 t chili powder
1 T lemon jiuce
