	What to say about New South Wales. A region that is as big as France and therefor very divers. Ok Sydney is a very nice place with all the goods (and the bads) of a big city. Beaches are great, the harbour is without a doubt one of the greatest assets, the parks are nice, rough terrain nearby, hills, rivers. Accomodation is not hard to find and reasonably prized, (specialized IT, Telecom) work is payed (very) good. Food is good and varied. The city is reasonably clean and public transport is very good, busses, trains. Taxi's are a black box, haven't used them. People are nice and open but... the scene can be a little arrogant, trash is not in every neighbourhood taken care off immediately (and it's hot) and the prizes have been raised considerably since the Olympics. All together though: Thumbs up for Sydney! Near Sydney, just a two hour trainride away, you can relax at the National parks of the Blue Mountains region. High cliffs, scenic views, waterfalls, (rain)forest, wildlife (guanas, birds) and beautiful hiking or biking for that matter. After a few days here you are mentally rested and physically tested. The coastline above and below Sydney is very rough and spectacular. Further west of the Blue Mountains there is kilometres of outback semi desert.
