HTML Help and Guidelines

Dogshell, a regular on the message board decided to help out by writing an HTML guide for all of you newbies! Check it out and have fun! Thanx DS!

Okay...here`s a quick HTML lesson for the board:

Breaks: Using the Enter key doesn`t work...instead, use the command <br> where you would use the Enter key. Use the <p> command to make a new paragraph.

Underlining, Boldfacing and Italicizing: Okay, where you want to begin the underlining, boldfacing, or italicizing, put in a <u>, <b>, or <i>, depending on what you want to do. To stop, enter the same command with a slash, like this: </u>, </b>, or </i>. Please make sure you do this...otherwise it looks real bad!

Ex: This isn`t underlined <u> This would be</u> This isn`t either.

Pictures: First, find the location of the picture on the internet. Then, type in <img src="Location of the picture">. That`s it.

Links: Just type in <a href="Place you want to link to"> to start the link. End the link with </a>.

Text Color and Size: Use the command <font color=*****> to change the color. In place of the *'s, you can put in the name of a color, or the color's hexadecimal code...just put the name. Changing size is <font size=x>, x is any number you want. Don`t make it too big...4 or 5 is probably as big as you should go. You can put these in the same command, like this: <font size=2 color=green>. End the changes with </font>

Well, that`s all the HTML you really need here...a few suggestions:
1) Don't embed MIDIs, post super-large pictures, or do anything else that slows loading hugely. Use links.
2) Don't insult others. Don't swear. It's not nice.
3) There shall be no bragging about Wolverine's greatness, insulting of the great, all-powerful Dan, or claiming you have a Cyber-Akuma code.

Above all...well, have fun, or something!
Dogshell
