WHY MCA? MCA BANDS MERCHANDISE MAILING LIST CONTACT US

REVIEW BY BIG MUTHA:
People started arriving at the club quite early and all hung waiting in anticipation of the first MCA show. By the time the show was due to start, the Purple Turtle was already quite packed. Three-Fifty were the featured band of the evening and played a great opening set, getting the crowd going. The first MCA band up was New World Inside, by now the crowd was really getting into the event. NWI had a few technical difficulties and didn’t seem to be too happy with their set, but never the less put on a good show and I don’t think any of the people in the crazed pit of skankers really noticed the difference. Aftertaste were up next... These guys really got the party started with some new school hardcore. Aftertaste are an amazing band to watch, they are heavy yet melodic and really fucking good even the non-hardcore crowd in the audience was getting into them. Hogs took the stage next, by now, things in the club had gone insane, with stage divers and skankers’ bodies flying left right and center. Hogs put on a really tight show as usual. Just when you thought you couldn’t take anymore, The Rudies were up, playing dem skanking tunes dat make you just wanna move your feet. They’ve added a few more members to their line up and are really sounding wicked. The Rudies rocked out into the early hours of Sunday. After that, Dj Oyster Eyes spun some cool punk & ska tunes keeping the surprisingly still relatively full club entertained until about 2 in the morning. The sense of unity was remarkable, every band was enjoyed by all... The first MCA show was a success!
