MCA BANDS:

Here is a bit about each of the Alliance bands... in case you didn't know already.

Aftertaste is a five piece band straight out of Cape Town, South Africa. They play a progressive style of hardcore music. The overall sound of Aftertaste is created by powerful, hard-hitting guitars, covered by sweet melodies. Drum beats that will keep your feet tapping. Low end that's fast and decorative with some African influence and vocals which incorporate shout/screams surrounded by gut-wrenching screams and soothing melodics. Their trademark would definitely be their experimentation with build ups and break outs. Aftertaste have played numerous clubs, schools, festivals, churches and have also played with world renown metal band, Mortification, on their tour to South Africa. They are now looking to play alongside bands like Stretch Arm Strong, Zao, Sick Of It All etc. Aftertaste have entered and won various competitions. They've had radio play as well as radio interviews in South Africa. They are now looking to bigger things with the release of their first full length album, "Two Minutes to a Heartbeat" The sky is the limit for these five young artists!

The godfathers of the Mutha City punk scene. This six-piece ska/punk band have been tearing apart stages and causing chaos around the country for the past seven years, leaving a trail of smiling faces and empty whiskey bottles in their wake. With two full-length Cds under their belt, as well as having appeared on various compilations with the likes of: NOFX, New Found Glory, Millencolin, Strung Out and many others, it's no surprise that their infectious brand of humour and unmistakably unique sound have the respect of their counterparts and won them the hearts of their ever-growing fanbase. They are notorious for, amongst other things, their energetic and entertaining live shows. Be sure to catch the porkrock experience when the MCA comes to your town.

Traditional African Ska band, who've been blowing up all over the place in their relatively short existence. They consist of no less than eight members playing the wickedest of wicked reggae and dub and the rudest of rude ska. The full, upbeat sound of the Rudimentals will get your feet tapping and your feet stomping and skanking no matter who you are or what your musical preference.... but don't just take my word for it Check out the Rudies when the MCA is next ripping up your scene.
