Olivia was a girlfriend of Rupert Giles who came
to America at least twice in the late part of 1999. She knew nothing of
his foray into the supernatural, and what she did know she didn’t
believe. She was present in Sunnydale during the attack on the town by
the Gentlemen, and was terrified by the forces at work. Finally
accepting the truth about Giles’s life, Olivia left Sunnydale, unsure
whether she could live in a world as dangerous as Giles’s seemed to be.
