MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

The ministry of foreign affiars serves a dual purpose. It's primary role is to advise the senate on the condition and status of the international system. To fulfill this mission the ministry monitors foreign relations and develops diplomatic strategy. Its secondary role is to execute foreign policy through ambassadors and diplomatic representatives.

The ministry does not have the authority to authorize statecraft, such as treaties, sanctions, diplomatic exchange, et cetera.  However the ministry is capable of initiating said actions and is often responsible for executing said actions if approved by the Senate.

In a less official roles, the Foreign Affairs Minister acts as a public relations officer for the confederacy. The ministry also serves a less recognized domestic purpose by acting as a mediator between the confederates. The Ministry has been influential in internal trade development and has worked with the Ministry of Finance to reform Hibernian currency standards.

MoFA Mission

The MoFA mission is to further the interests of Eirennia Scotia in the international community and promoting Hibernian values abroad .
