MINISTRY OF FINANCE

To maintain and develop the economic resources of the Eirennia Scotia High State, the Ministry of Finance has institutions: the State Mint, the Reserve, the Council of the Exchequer, and the Office of Economic Research.

The Confederacy of Eirennia Scotia is set on the gold standard. Currently, the value of the Hibernian standard is set at 10 standard per once of gold. The Ministry of Finance uses both the State Mint and the Reserve to regulate the value of the standard.

The Council of the Exchequer is the executive office of the ministry and the advisory body to the High Council. The council has 15 members and is headed by the Minister of Finance.

The Office of Economic Research is an financial think tank that monitors the status of the Hibernian and world economy. The office tracks economic trends and conducts research into economic development and maintenance. The office also acts as a resource for the Council of Exchequers.

Financial management, through the Ministry of Finance, is the result of the integration of the four financial institutions. The Ministry uses information received from the Office of Economic Research to effectively use the State Mint and the Reserve to maintain the value of the standard.

THE NEW STATE RESERVE NOTE

Early in 2106, the Ministry of Finance began a joint ministry-provincial program to remove the provincial bank notes and replace them with the State Reserve Note.

The State Reserve Note, known as the standard, is a promissory note entitling its bearer to immediate payment in gold bullion. All Hibernian currency is backed completely by gold bullion.

The one standard State Promissory Note was adopted 3 March 2106. On the front is an image of the first and current Chancellor, Katherine Ni Conshnámha.

To the left is the Official State Seal of the Confederacy of Eirennia Scotia. Next to use the following passage is written in native Hibernian:

The cleanliness of our hearts

The strength of our limbs

And our commitment to our promise

The value of the note is written three ways: numerically, in ingliz and in Hibernian.

On the reverse, is a sketch of a Hibernian Musteno. On the bottom it is written "Honor is the reward of virtue" in the language of the ancients. To the right is the seal of the Church of Hibernia, Chíostaíochta.
