Treble clef!
The Viola
Home page
The viola has four strings, the lowest being tuned to C and G on the bass clef, and the higher strings being tuned to D and A in the treble clef. Because of the range of notes, the viola player reads music mostly in the tenor clef, and uses the treble clef for the higher note to avoid the use of too many leger lines.

Although the viola is often mistaken for a violin, its tone differs a great deal from both a violin and a cello.

The viola has many different parts, including the pegs (at the top to tune the strings) the fingerboard, soundboard, the bridge and the scroll. It also has a chin-rest to support the violin while it is being played. It is played using either a bow that is drawn across the strings to produce sound, or pizzicato -  literally plucking - the strings.
