Mad Season (19" x 30")
This is the first quilt in the Rock 'n Roll quilt series. The art is a reproduction of the cover of Mad Season by matchbox twenty. The CD was released in May, 2000 under the Atlantic Records label. The quilt is made primarily of 100% cotton fabric with polyester batting. Techniques used in its construction were machine piecing, hand appliqué and hand quilting. It was created without a pattern or templates (in other words, I winged it). It took about 40 hours to complete. You'll notice that it's been written on. My fellow quilters are probably cringing at the desecration of this quilt, but you matchbox twenty fans should take a closer look at the band's autographs. For the full story, click here. |
