Have you ever known somebody that inspires you every time you see them?.. somebody who LIVES life with such passion that your own passion to do something worthwhile increases? These people are the ones who don't even try to be influential. They are just honestly living on purpose, doing what they know they were created for. The last two days I've spent hours with somebody who inspired me like that. It's refreshing after getting bored with my life. My job is not something I can be very passionate about. But it takes up most of my time. I don't have many good friends who live in the area anymore. (However, I regained a really good friend the last couple days. And Valpo isn't too far away.)
I love talking. Especially talking about things that are really important. That's when life seems the fullest--when I'm spending time with friends, and we're being totally open, confessing and challenging, understanding and listening, supporting and trusting, loving and liking. It's not a common occurence to find someone you can make that wonderful connection with. But it's something we all long deeply for. We weren't meant to do life alone. Relationships take work, but it's totally worth it. The things that money can't buy are the things that will bring us the most joy.
