| For Women Only : What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men By Shaunti Feldhahn Release date: By 28 July, 2004 Read by me: June 23, 2005 So this afternoon, around 1:00, I stopped at Family Christian. The book "For women only" was 40% off, so i skimmed through it and decided to buy it. It's 11:22 pm, and I already finished reading all 200 pages. Definitely a book I don't regret buying. Here's the main points it covers: 1) A woman's respect means more to a man than a woman's love 2) Men always feel the need to be the provider 3) What it means for men to be more "visual" 4) Men usually want "romance" as much as we do 5) Appearance does matter--or rather, the effort we put into our appearance There's a bunch of other stuff, but it was a very fascinating book. I've always liked the book "The Five Love Languages" 'cause it helps men and women learn how to effectively communicate their love, but this book goes beyond that. "what you need to know about the inner lives of men." We have a lot of misconceptions. So for those in a relationship, it could save you a lot of struggle and grief to check this book out. And don't worry, there's supposed to be a companion book, "for men only" coming in April 2006 :) wow, imagine the day men understand women! haha |
