Arrange and  Paraphrase

The project falls into two parts.

Part 1: Each student in the group should lead a performance.  There should be a rehearsal and performance every week for the first five weeks. The first half of the project should enable each student to demonstrate leadership skills in musical performance and provide experience in arranging tunes.

Part 2::The group will then develop a paraphrase composition in the second half of the project using the musical extracts they used in the first half of the project. . The second half term will encourage them to use the same musical materials in new ways through a paraphrase composition.
