What is it?
A fluffy material - the skin of, most often, raccoons, foxes, otters and minks. There are two ways to kill animals for fur: to catch them in the wild, then drown, trap or beat them; or to breed them on "fur farms" where they are killed by anal or vaginal electrocution.

What I think

I have never, and will never wear it because I think, like leather, fur is extremely cruel to animals; even more so. In addition, due to lack of labelling, you cannot even be sure whether the fur you buy is what you think it is because the fur of cats and dogs is often used.

Yes, it is beautiful, but surely its beauty can be appreciated by observing it on live animals, and not dead ones? It is not intended to be worn by humans!

Fur is so expensive because of all the costs of capturing/killing the creatures, producing the coat, (or whatever the product is) and then, there is the price of its appeal. It seems posh and rare and therefore fashionable, but fortunately, not as much as it once was.

It is warm to wear, but there are other materials that are just as warm and not as vile.
