The story of Particle Son begins in the California desert sometime in 1996. Founding member :[jared scott]: began writing instrumental industrial, and quickly completed 2 albums. Due to requests for live shows, :[jared]: brought aboard :[dave lash]: and :[joe williamson]: to sing and play guitar. After a short spell of shows and a 3 track EP, Jared moved to Southern Oregon and began to persue other musical ventures. In 2000, :[jared]: revived the Particle Son project. But lacked two key elements. Enter :[nathan malin]: and :[dusty powers]:. :[nathan]:'s table saw esque guitars combined with :[dusty]:'s unrelenting barage of bitter contempt gave Particle Son it's long awaited re:birth. With a little work and lots of alcohol, Particle Son unofficially released the "Bleeding Pain EP". A small series of live shows ensued and Particle Son's dark hysteria came to life on stage for an all too brief amount of time. Then sadly, personal issues and the loss of all of our work due to computer failure contributed to a lack of interest in the band, and a year goes by with no action. Instead of wallowing in our own self pity, this negative energy was harvested in early 2003 when every spare minute was invested in brand new material and thus, 2004 was dedicated to giving birth to and raising our demon spawn we fondly call, Re:version which paved the way for Particle Son's evolution into the throbbing mass of hatred you hear today.
