ancksunamun, her opponents, and her lover. She found out that she was one of Seti the 1st concubines. She was to marry the pharaoh and bare him a son. She also found out about the Bracelet of Anubis. In one of her latest visions, she had overheard the pharaoh talk about the importance of the bracelet and the consequences it contained. Meela soon communicated this to Mr. Hafez, he in turn had told her that his men had found the Hammunaptra, and were now digging it up in search of the book of Amun-Ra, the black book of the dead, and of course Imhotep. This all excited Meela's heart, who had for the longest time been veiled by the loss and need for revenge.
They were now searching every aspect of ancient history, especially the bracelet of Anubis, about which they found some information, most of it being passed as myth. In most books, it spoke of a warrior who had worn the bracelet and defeated a mighty army. Later, he was stripped of his soul which remained locked at the Oasis of Ahm~Shere, and would only be unlocked with the bracelet.
Meela found all this very riveting. She couldn't wait to unlock all these secrets and gain enough power to destroy her enemies.
They had received news that the O'Connells were now in a dig at the tomb of Nefertri. Meela sensed that the bracelet would be there, to kill the O'Connells and obtain the bracelet in the way. But Mr. Hafez would not permit it.
"I do not want blood on our hands before it is needed." Said Mr. Hafez in a serious tone. "You will wait, no you must wait. We have to put too much into this for you to ruin it so close to our victory. In a month time it will be the year of the Scorpion. Therefore, we do not have too much time to conclude our plan. You will be sent to Hamunaptra to help in the findings of the books and Imhotep."
"What about the bracelet, who will retrieve it? You must send me," said Meela in an angry tone.
"No, I will send others who will not interfere because they have nothing personal against the O'Connells. Remember at the moment it is best to stay away from anything personal. Now go and get yourself ready for the journey, it is quite long but Lock-Nah will accompany you."
