: : Summary : : This happens before and after the mummy. It is a story of meelas life   before she meet Mr. Hafez, the story of how she found out her true identity. Also has Rick, evie, Jonathan, and imhotep.
In the letter to Meela, Ardeth had explained of the tragic events.  He told her that men did it from the foreign legion, which were looking for treasure.  Ardeth also mentioned that only one survived, a man who had been the captain.  In Meela's mind this man was the cause of her loss and even if he had not pulled the trigger, he was still responsible for just being there.  She wanted to search for this man and end his life just as he and his men had ended Muhammad's.  But how would she even find him. TO her he was just a savage captain with no name.  It would be impossible to find him, especially in Cairo, that at the moment was full of military
captains from all over the world because of the wars that had passed not too long ago.

With this she decided to continue her life.  She moved to London where she had gotten a position at the British Museum.  Her life in London was pleasing, yet she was still not happy because her thoughts always went back to Mohammed and his death.  Now she even dreamed of him, but not as he was.  In her dreams it was him but he was different, he even had another name.

Meela stood on her balcony looking into the night sky.  She felt a cool breeze pass her face, she closed her eyes to let herself be cooled by the breeze that she felt.  As she did this she felt a strong hand touch her shoulder.  She turned her head, and then when she saw whom it was turned her whole body.

"Imhotep,"she breathed with a smile.  She kissed him intensely and then let go.  "I thought it was Seti," continued she, leaning backwards against the balcony. "That is the reason I did not show my face to thee."

"I understand,"said a face that looked like Mohammed's with a sight frown on his lips.

"Oh, do not worry my love," said Meela cradling his face in her hands. "Take that frown from thy face and turn it to that sweet smile I love so," she said as she kissed his lips briefly.

She turned back to look to the courtyard and saw another girl who she had never seen before and with her was a man.  "Look" said she to Imhotep.  "It is the Princess and her med-jai lover," she said, but how did she know that thought Meela.  In the dream her voice was filled with disgust.

"Why do you speak that way, Anck-su-namun?" asked Imhotep. " DO they not have a right to love, as we?" He asked holding her hand.

"Yes, I suppose, but..."

"But what?" asked Imhotep.

"She gets everything she desires, and we have to see each other in secret, in fear of being caught by a med-jai, or worse, Seti."

"Yes, yes I know my love," said Imhotep now cradling her in his arms. " I am sorry for that," he said.

She looked over the balcony's edge just to catch Nefertiri and Darjon ending their kiss and holding each other.  Nefertiri looked up, and caught Anck-su-namun's gaze.  Shecouldn't bare her gaze and left the balcony, and Imhotep followed.

On the next day Meela was baffled by this dream.  It was so odd.  The only person whom she recognized was Mohammed but in her dream he had called her by some other name and she had done the same with him.  They were speaking some ancient language and dressed in odd attires.  She felt so much hate for that girl, Nefertiri, even now that she had awaken, her hate for her still prevailed.  This was so disconcerting because those that face was so new to Meela yet it was so familiar.

The weeks passed and the dreams and visions continued.  Every night she dreamt of those people but her dreams always finished the same.  They ended as they always began with no explanation leaving Meela in a state of wonder.  She thought that there had to be a reason for those dreams, but what was it?
