| Chapter .5 6 months had passed and Meela had yet to hear from Mohammad. In his last letter, he had told her of some battle against a group of foreigners. This had Meela worried, for she had not heard from him since after this battle. But she kept the ugly thoughts away from her head because she knew that if there were any bad news, she would have heard it by now. Instead she tried to think of his return to her. She kept herself concentrated in her studies. The weeks kept going by and still no news from Mohammed. She wanted to go look for him, but because he was a med-jai the location of their camp and most of his activates were kept secret. Therefore, her being alone to find him in the Egyptian desert were mil. One strange afternoon, Meela found herself in a caf�. She was alone after having completed an overwhelming amount of work. "Oh, it was good to be in Egypt," she thought sipping her sweet, dark, Egyptian coffee.Her thoughts soon switched to her beloved of whom she missed most dearly.She returned home to find an envelope waiting for. It seemed rugged, as if many had handled it. "News for Mohammad," she yelled in excitement.She savagely ripped the envelop without even looking to see who sent it. The letter addressed from a couple of months past. It wasn't Mohammed's writing, and it was directed to "Miss Meela Iziaz". Her smile soon changed to a frown as she continued to read her whole expression changed. Tears were in her eyes and she fell slumped on the floor, as if all the energy was drained from her body. As the days passed, Meela kept reading the same letter, with the same reactions. She couldn't believe it; all was too overwhelming and unreal. Her lover, the love of her life dead. No, it was too much. Yet, with the passing of months, she began to change. Soon a year and then 2. Even though, she was in control of herself, Meela never could forget Mohammed. She still loved him, as if he was not gone. She still carried the promise he made her to her of meeting again to never separate. Now all her mind carried were thoughts of her lost love, and revenge.... |
