| Right now on the Eurovision site www.eurosongonline.com there is some sort of a competition going on about "viewers sympathy / choice". In many countries, participants are sellected in national sellection rounds. In our country (Russia) this wasn't practice yet, even though Russia will take part in the contest for the fourth time. (1995 - Phillip Kirkorov with the song " Lullaby for a volcano", 17th place; 1997 - Alla Pugacheva "Prima Donna", 15th place; 2000 Alsu "Solo", 2nd place). The site www.eurosong.net also informs about the names and participants of other countries. Among them, there aren't any world scale celebreties to be found. On the website you can find out detailed results of the national competitions. In the majority of countries these data are open to everyone. In the Russian section, only the name of the winner is informed. In our country channele ORT held a national selection in strict privacy. |
