2003 Reunion Team
After the game, 33 players and family joined the full house at Miller Park for the Brewers vs. the Cubs. We had certainly learned an appreciation for how the pro players keep it up for 162 games. We were already hurting from our one game. But the beer was like ben-gay, nursing the pain. Afterwards it was back to Marquette campus to the old Gym bar. We all had some Real Chili in honor of those who couldn't make it. We talked about how to make this a more regular event and ways to find more players we had lost track of.

A total of 25 guys attended the Sept 6th Reunion.
The weather was terrific and no one was injured in the baseball game. Dean Roder commented "What a great weekend all the way around." It was way over due in getting everyone back together. Bill Gosse lead a short prayer at home plate before the event. I have posted some pictures of the event for everyone to enjoy (Reunion Pics). The 8 inning game between the Warrior alumni and the current Golden Eagles team was a treat. Players from the 1978 team through the 1987 team participated. Dave Pierro said it set a best practice that will be hard to match next time. The Warriors jumped out to a 3-2 lead after the first inning with a double by Bill Gosse and a triple by Dean Roder - who was the game MVP with two doubles and a triple. Greg Bauer and Carl Nenni each threw 2 innings with Joe Zurawski adding a strong single inning on the mound. Everyone got to play several innings at different positions to keep things fresh. Even Dennis Kapusta's son Tony got a few at bats. Tony came to the game with his brother and Grandparents (Photo)
