Here at Benedictine University we offer scholarships, some based on academic majors and some based on financial need. Kent Johnson is a representative of the financial aid program here at Benedictine. He says, "Benedictine University's financial aid program is designed to assist students in making a Benedictine education affordable. Our financial aid staff is dedicated to helping students become aware of the financial aid programs for which they are eligible for and provide guidance through the process of financing their education." He also stated there is a complete checklist of scholarships which can be found on the application instruction sheet at http://www.ben.edu/resources/fin_aid/scholarships/index.asp.
We also offer FWS program, which provides an opportunity for Benedictine University students to earn a portion of their education expenses by working part-time on campus. Students are awarded Federal Work-Study as part of their financial aid package. The average FWS award is $3,000 if working 20- hour weeks. Anyone interested should stop by the employee services department.
