Goals
These are forthcoming. My immediate goal is to finish this course, and thus, complete my formal education....at least for the time being. Then, I will start research for my book. I always have alot of projects in mind...I would like to improve upon my uses for technology in my teaching, particularly for communication with my students and their parents, and for SOL review. I would also like to work to create a database for Chantilly track & cross country results, present and past, and honor our school history through a digital "Hall of Fame".
Professionally, I am always looking to improve as a teacher, and as a coach. I am hoping to teach some distance courses for the United States Sports Academy. I still love teaching HS, and I love working at Chantilly. That being said, I am always looking for new challenges, and means of stimulating my own intellect and curiosity. I don't see myself leaving the HS setting any time soon, but at some point, I would like to work as a student athletic director. I still love the classroom, and I love coaching, but I am also intrigued by meet management, and sports management. Through my studies in Ed. Leadership, I have learned enough that I do not want to be a principal of any sort, but I could happily be a sports administrator, as that combines my love of education and athletics.
