Curriculum Standards

By the end of this WebQuest,  students will be able to choose research tools, particularly Internet search engines, deliberately and purposefully to fit their particular content area or personal research assignment. The essential question is "Which search tool is the best for me in this assingment?"  The focus is on Internet search engines and directories. In addition to learning the strengths and weaknesses of the Internet’s top search engines, students will become more proficient with using teamwork to assist in the learning process, with questioning their current beliefs as they are exposed to new information, with structuring information to build an argument. They will be led to sources on Internet research tools assessment to which they can return for guidance in future research.
