ALABAMA FARM GIRL'S
            KITCHEN
           CORN CHOWDER
4 slices bacon
3 med. onions, sliced
4 med. potatoes, sliced, skins on
1-1/2 c. fresh or frozen corn
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 cup water
3 cups milk
Salt & Pepper to taste

Fry bacon until crispy. Drain & reserve it. Saute the onions in bacon fat until tender, transfer to
a 3 qt. saucepan along with the potatoes, corn, bouillon cube and
water. Cover & cook 15 mins. Add milk & heat almost to the boiling point. Add salt & pepper,
ladle into bowls & garnish with
bacon, crumbled into pieces.
             FRIED OKRA
Sliced okra
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
Cornmeal
Salt & Pepper to taste

Mix egg & milk for batter. Season to taste. Dip okra in batter, then into cornmeal. Fry in hot deep pot until lightly browned. Remove to drain on paper towel in bowl. Serve hot.. 
         EGG SALAD SANDWICH
1 hard boiled egg
2 Tbsp. mayonaise
1/4 tsp. mustard
1 small dill pickle, diced
2 slices bread
Mash egg. Add mayo, mustard & pickle. Spread between 2 lices of bread. Enjoy
