My Poems...
      Country Boys
My two little barefoot country boys
Oh, How you do feel your Nana with such joy.
To watch you skip, jump and play
Hearing your laughter makes my day.
You love to play here on the farm
Out in the pasture or up in the barn.
The goats, donkey, horse, cows and chickens
When you are not here, they all seem to miss you.
Up on that John Deere tractor, you will go
To the field with Pa to rake or mow...
Ya'll really love to help Pa work
Even get in the kitchen and help me cook.
Nicholas and Austin you are my heart
I pray as you grow, nothing drives us apart.
Growing country boys, you both are
You're very smart, I know you'll go far.
I love you both more than words can say
Just know that you always make Nana's day!

Half-Pint Girl

Grandaughters are special and true
Lifting your spirit when you're blue.
Briana, my little half-pint country girl
Can take your heart for quite a whirl.
She's in the city, she's prim and proper
Everything  for her must be so in order.
No getting dirty, no disarray
For she will surely have her say.
Just bring my Bri back to the country
Half-Pint becomes as cute as a bunny.
Playing with the animals here on the farm
All of a sudden, dirt does her no harm
Baking mudpies with the goats
And chickens  up in the hay
Here at Nana's House, she loves to play.
