Section to Become Even More Minimalist

In order to realize its plans, Section One hired Corporeal Corporations, a new consulting firm that specializes in the strategic foundation for working environments by adhering to minimalism.

The ambitious project was planned to reduce overhead by consolidating operations, simplifying internal office procedures, and minimizing worker attire. At the same time, an enhanced open office environment and a new interior circulation system were introduced.

Steve Rococo, a senior consultant with Corporeal Corporations, explained some of the Section redesign: "Cost efficiency, function, and flexibility were our highest priorities. This environment promotes the sharing of information and resources whenever possible. The lack of operative attire maintains the sense of individualism. Exterior views in common areas as well as in private offices give everyone a chance to enjoy an organic corporate environment."

Operations spoke about the strategic facilities plan at the official unveiling ceremony yesterday.

"This space embodies Section One's concept of design and its concept of work. As a work environment, it is flexible, allowing for fluctuations in staffing as internal Section objectives and schematics dictate, while avoiding a warehouse look or a sea of workstations. Its furniture and lighting meet the highest ergonomic standards, and there are differentiated zones for open communication, participatory management, and group work sessions," said Operations in his speech. "It also is a stimulating place to work," he added.
