The Latest Updates
In the future, I will add an Interstate 9 extension so that it ends in California.  The new I-9 extension will follow much of the US 97 corridor.

I've just put up the new Interstate shields.  New exit lists will be written, and existing ones are being updated accordingly.

The new exit lists have been written.  Included is a numbering plan involving the freeway system of
Greensboro, NC.

A new exit list for
Interstate 6 has been written.  It now runs from Van Horn to Brownsville, TX.

A new
Interstate 96 will link Eau Claire to Green Bay, WI.  New exit lists for both I-96 and the I-9 extension should be added soon.

Special thanks goes to Froggie for listing my Website on his
Fictional Freeways page.  Thanks for the recognition.

Interstate 96 and the new Interstate 9 extension have been added to the Fictional Freeways list.  Coming soon are exit lists for Interstates 22 and 73, as well as the extensions for Interstates 69 and 74.

This site is now listed in the dmoz.org Open Directory.  It is listed in the Recreation Section, under
Fictional Roads & Highways.

Interstate 22
and the I-69 extension have been added to the Fictional Freeways list.  They will soon be followed by Interstates 73 and 74.

Special thanks to the Watson brothers, Jeff and Henry, for incorporating most of my routes into their
Ultimate Interstate System.  They had to ask my permission, and I granted it to them.

I'm adding a new section to my website, called
Fantasy Interchanges.  Some of these highway junctions will probably never see reality, but they provide some very cool ideas of what future interchanges should look like.

I now have a brand-new section on my website called
State Welcome Signs. This incorporates a list of the 48 continental U.S. states, mostly with the nicknames (California, The Golden State) and other notable facts (Arkansas, Home of Bill Clinton).

Breaking news: I am now the new owner of Yahoo's Fictional Highways group. A member since 2004, I was promoted to the ownership post in September 2007. In the coming months ahead, I will initiate a dramatic overhaul of the group, but I will keep the group's goal the same: to discuss potential fictional freeways, interstates, U.S. highways and even two-lane routes that may deserve a U.S. highway designation. It's an honor to take over the Fictional Highways group, and I greatly appreciate this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

One of my first actions as owner of the Fictional Highways group is naming Kim Russell as the moderator. Mr. Russell, who joined in 2005, will assist me in some moderator activities, such as approving potential members, updating the current members list and maintaining the overall appearance of the group. It is part of a planned overhaul I'm initiating with the group, but I am promising a much improved Fictional Highways group, with exciting new features.
