| My homework policy. I do not give a lot of homework each week. What I do give, I expect to get done. I have a Z.A.P. policy about homework. (Zeros Aren't Permitted). If a child does not bring in their homework, they will miss recess until it is completed. I encourage children to get their parents to help them. Here is a breakdown by subject of what is usually given. Reading: Read 30 minutes each night. Your child's reading will not improve unless they practice! Spelling: 100 points are due Friday from the Spelling Contract. Spelling List - December 8 - 12 Word from A Christmas Carolcarol partner gruel clerk holly charity decent donation worthless future foul glides courage master accept merrily servant bundle emotion grief Bonus Words: transparent, mistletoe, comfortable, collapse, scheme Math: Homework usually twice a week. I usually send it home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Practice your times tables. Timed multiplication tests are here! 4th graders are responsible for the 0 - 12 times tables. We have started long division.. The kids are having trouble with this because they do not know their math facts. Please practice EVERY day! Composition Writing: No homework due this week unless you did not finish your final copy. Science: No homework due this week at this time. Social Studies: No homework due this week. Art: No homework due this week unless you do not finish what is assigned on Friday. |
