7th Grade Projects
Here you can find information on the various long term projects that the 7th grade class will be working on throughout the school year.  This page should help families to understand what is expected from the assignments and when they are due.
ACTIVE PROJECTS:
7th GRADE PROJECTS:
Greek Gods and Legends Project - Presentations and research papers about a Greek
god/goddess of your choosing and a related Greek legend.  Students will write a 2 page paper
about thier subject, and present a 3-4 minute presentation to the class about thier findings.  For
the presentation, students will need to have a prop that they use to help the class understand thier
project.  Props can be costumes, posters, models, dioramas, models, audio/video projects, nearly
          anything.

World History Project - This is the culmination of the 7th grade school year.  It takes place in the
fourth grading periods. Students will be writing a research paper, creating a costume, and
providing a prop; all to address a social role or particular person from our curriculum.  They
will take the information and materials that they collect and contribute them to a small
group project that will be presented to thier class.  The topics for each group member need to                somehow be related to each other to allow for interaction during the presentation.  The project is            supposed to be very educational, and very fun.  Students enjoy working with thier friends to act
out situations from in a historic setting.  It is a very important part of every students fourth
quarter grade, and we feel it is also a very important part of each students experience here at
          McDowell.
