Dear Parents,

I am planning to continue with a process that I first implemented seven years ago. Every Monday I hope to send a weekly schedule detailing the concepts and skills being taught for the week. In this way both you and your child will know where we will be headed in all subjects. I am not giving specific assignments due to the availability of materials, time, as well as the successes and challenges the subject matter may throw our way. As always, we need to be flexible because some of the concepts are more difficult then others. As a result, you may see the same topic listed for more than one week, especially in science and social studies. This can also be found at the bottom of this page. You will see a weekly chart with each week listed and a link to "click" on to show you what we have done and where we are headed.

Long term projects will be listed at the bottom. I will send home detailed directions as to what will be expected. I will also send home a Rubric (a scoring guide) to assist the children in being better prepared to present their projects.

Once a month I will be adding an update of the classroom/school events, which is a link on my homepage. I hope this opens the door to a better line of communication between home and school.
