Miscellaneous deletions for Tatooine...
Owen's Speederbike
Sure was rude of Anakin to take off with Owen's speederbike witout asking, wasn't it? Well it seems he did get permission, it was just cut. Originally, Owen was standing outside the homestead with Padmé while Anakin was preparing to depart and offered him to take his speederbike. Owen, along with his dialogue was erased out of that scene altogether so it would just be Anakin and Padmé.
EXT. TATOOINE, HOMESTEAD, MOISTURE FARM - LATE DAY
ANAKIN stands looking across the desert. PADMÉ comes running out of the homestead after him, followed by OWEN. ANAKIN turns to PADMÉ.
ANAKIN
You are going to have to stay
here. These are good people,
Padmé. You'll be safe.
OWEN
Take my speeder bike.
PADMÉ
Anakin...
PADMÉ hugs him. ANAKIN walks over to Owen's speeder bike, which is standing close by.
ANAKIN
I trust you'll watch over her,
Owen.
OWEN
Don't worry.
ANAKIN swings onto the bike. The engine fires.
ANAKIN
I won't be long.
ANAKIN takes off across the desert. PADMÉ watches him go.
Search for Shmi
There were a couple extra shots of Anakin searching for his Mother in the desert that were cut. At one point he would discover the bodies of some farmers who had no doubt had a run in with the Tusken Raiders. I believe Ben Burtt makes mention of these shots during the DVD commentary so it would seem that they were filmed. Below is the excerpt from the "2nd draft"...
EXT. TATOOINE, DUNE SEA, CAMPFIRE - TWILIGHT
ANAKIN rides over a large dune toward a small flickering light in the distance.
He rides up and stops the bike in front of a campfire. There are bodies of THREE DEAD FARMERS lying beside the campfire. TWO EOPIES are thethered nearby, along with a burned and smoking speeder.
EXT. TATOOINE, LANDSCAPE (FULL MOON) - NIGHT
THREE DIFFERENT SHOTS. ANAKIN rides the speeder bike through three exotic landscapes. In one shot, he stops and looks down at some tracks. Then he starts up his speeder and rides off.
Anakin's Confession
In the finished movie this scene ends after Anakin yells "I hate them!" but in the script the scene continued on for a bit more with Anakin showing remorse for his actions. The DVD has some of this dialogue reincorporated back into the movie proper.
ANAKIN
Why do I hate them? I didn't...I couldn't...I couldn't control myself. I...I don't want to hate them...but I just can't forgive them.
PADMÉ
To be angry is to be human.
ANAKIN
To control your anger is to be a Jedi.
PADMÉ
Ssshhh...you're human.
ANAKIN
No, I'm a Jedi. I know I'm better than this. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!
PADMÉ
You're like everyone else...
PADMÉ rocks him, and ANAKIN weeps.
Garage Hologram
Originally the scene where Anakin and Padmé viewed Obi-Wan's message from Geonosis took place in the Lars Garage instead of the ship cockpit.
Below is the excerpt from the "2nd draft"...
INT. TATOOINE, HOMESTEAD, GARAGE - DAY
A rough hologram of OBI-WAN is projected onto the garage by ARTOO. ANAKIN, PADME and THREEPIO watch the flickering image.
OBI-WAN
...Alliance have pledged their
armies to Count Dooku and are
forming an... Wait!... ah...
attack... I don't... make it...
aaaggghhh!
The hologram cuts off. ANAKIN jumps up, agitated.
ANAKIN
I'm going after him!
PADMÉ
I thought the first thing he said
was to retransmit his message to
Coruscant.
ANAKIN
Yeah, you're right, you're right.
Lars Farewell
A few of these homestead deletions sure made it seem like Anakin and Padmé had horrible manners. First Anakin steals Owen's speederbike, then they make off with Threepio and don't even say goodbye to the Lars. Well they did say goodbye, we just didn't get to see it since it too was deleted.

ANAKIN, PADMÉ, ARTOO and THREEPIO leave the homestead, waving to CLIEGG, OWEN and BERU as they go into the desert.
