I've posted a new installment of
The Grab Bag. This one's a series of brief comments on a few of the graphic novels I've read in the past couple months, at least one of which you probably haven't heard of. At the top of that one's a link to the first installment of this feature. I'm playing with these briefer reviews rather than taking the time to work up full-page features on each, especially since I seemed to be going months between those. With some luck I'll have a new batch of comics arriving by next  weekend.

I know that in many places school started back last week, but around here it's going to be starting tomorrow. Ari'll get a little peace here during the weekdays again, and while not ecstatic about the change even the kids admitted looking forward to getting into the new school year. Most likely that won't last out the week, but there's always hope. What an amazingly fast summer, but aren't they all?

Hey, do any of you passersby have an historical knowledge of
cigar boxes?

            Still-recent additions to the site:

The Pull List. A look ahead to the comics coming out this upcoming week. It looks as what I ordered for myself, a little as to why I did, and in some cases why I didn't order something. I'm looking for any feedback, be it from those of similar or opposing tastes, or perhaps a fan of something else on the list as to why he's reading that.

Just over a week old as I type this are the
Wizard World Weekend pages. Next time I go to one of these I'll relax more and get better shots, but that one's history.
