Hey! Have a chair, make yourself at home, look through my pages... sign my guestbook, if you feel like it! This is my useless webpage that no one ever looks at and therefore, I hardly ever update. If you feel the need, you can always *gasp* take time to email me or even call me! *Feeling a bit faint...* Obviously, if you're here, you know who I am, but I suppose I could tell you that my name is Mariah Remmers (soon to be Baseman) and I'm just under 2 decades old. Yikes, getting up there. I used to hang my hat at home in northwest Iowa, but I'm living in Waterloo, IA, for the present time going to college at Hawkeye Community for Professional Photography. After spending this much money for supplies in addition to my tuition, I can definately say that I'm seeing this out to the end. :) Luckily for me (well, and for him :D), I'm engaged to Joel Baseman of Appleton, Wisconsin. We've been dating over a year now and are extremely happy together; we cannot wait to be married! :) We've set the date at this December 21st (of 2007), after much contemplating and consternation from different parties. :) And yes, it is a Friday, get over it! ;) This conveniently gives me less than 5 months to plan the wedding! I'm having fun with that, though; I'm actually liking it so much, I just wish I didn't have to worry about work or school and just do that until December! Colors are set at dark red (not burgandy), cream/ivory, and black. My dress is ivory (click the link to see it on the model - obviously it looks way better on me.. :D) and is set to arrive on November 1st, which is wonderful. Cheree Coffman is my bridesmaid and maid of honor (click here to see a picture of her dress). Joel is having Rory Lewis stand up for him; the funny thing is that Rory is conveniently a cousin of mine also. If you'd like to help in that week before Christmas with everything, please let me know. We're doing a lot ourselves and would love the extra help I'm sure! :) As far as family, I have two brothers. Justin is 22 and Blair is 3.75... just kidding. He's 15 but a leap-year baby, and I love to kid him about it. My mom is Deirdre (think of a deer in a tree) and she is a dental assistant on occasion, Dad's assistant most of the time. My dad is Brad; he is a dairy specialist/nutritionist, meaning he does just about anything having to do with a dairy cow's diet from manure samples to hay samples and everything in between. He comes home smelling pretty yummy sometimes. Usually its no different than the aroma of the entire county..

Just a little disclaimer... this site is and always will be boring, or at least reflect the inner workings of the brains of Mariah, though few they may be. That's the way it is... End of story. El Final.Thats it. Done deal.

I dont think this actually works.. but I think it lends prestige to the site...
So I dont really understood the whole myspace and facebook craze and everything... yet, I did finally cave to the peer pressure and open up a facebook thing, which incidentally, is way more accurate than this page... so check me out there if you want... I have fairly current pictures on there. I can send you links to see them even if you're not a part of facebook, if you would like..

Random song for the day: "Stick Shifts and Safety Belts" by Cake "Stick shifts, and safety belts, bucket seats have all got to go. When we're driving, in the car, It makes my baby seem so far. I need you here with me, not way over in a bucket seat. I need you to be here with me, not way over in a bucket seat. But when we're driving in my Malibu, Its easy to get right next to you I say "Baby, scoot over please," and then she's right there next to me. I need you here with me, not way over in a bucket seat. I need you to be here with me, not way over in a bucket seat. Well, a lot of good caaaaaaaaars, are Japanese, yeah, but when we're driving far, I need my baby I need my baby next to me... Stick shifts, and safety belts, bucket seats have all got to go. When we're driving, in the car, It makes my baby seem so far I need you here with me, not way over in a bucket seat. I need you to be here with me, not way over in a bucket seat..."
