Well, after going through a few different extremes in automobiles since the sad departure of my first conquest, I decided it was time for another. Before, I had a 1995 Dodge dakota 2wd, which was equipped with a mighty 2.5 four cylinder powerplant. It got me where I wanted to go, but not nearly quick enough. Next, I bought into the mustang craze as many of my teenage friends. Although it was fun for a while, it got old seeing so many other cars just like mine. Not to mention that morning I fell asleep and woke up in a hillside (whoops). My uncle bought that car off of me and is driving it around all primered up these days. Next, I had, of all things, a 2000 VW Beetle. Yes, I know, a beetle. It was black, and it was turbo, but it was still a beetle. That is long gone, and as of November 5, 2003, I am once again the proud owner of a 1987 Chrysler Conquest. Bought it off a guy in Tell City, Indiana for $3600. When I got it, it had new kyb struts on all corners, and a new exhaust. So far all I've had to do was buy a set of tires for it, and a couple of oil changes, but hopefully I'll get to make it a little different coming next year. We'll see how time works out as I'm going to college fulltime and working fulltime nights. |
