| The Tutor The reasons for posting my information on the web are two fold. First to attract people looking for an able and talented teacher I offer this page up as a testament to the past 8 years I have spent working in Asia. Second to those seeking an experienced education consultant who has had held key positions in schools and organizations in Asia. Some key points you may want to consider are: + 8 years of teaching experience in Asia + Managed programs for over 600 students + 3 years of online test design and implementation + 3 years of e-learning design and implementation + 3 years IETLS, TOEFL and SATI teaching + 8 years of experience teaching and counselling various Asian students including Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indonesian and Japanese. It is my sincere wish to provide only quality education that is truly learner activated. I think that being a teacher is being a professional first and foremost and with that one must take responsibility for your students' results. As a professional you can share what works and conversely you must have the confidence and professionalism to call on peers to support your efforts to improve. Let me relate something that I noted with some regret and I hope it will show you what I consider to be professionalism. A University professor went out the way to embarrass a colleague in front of students and other instructors under the guise of support. A teacher is not evaluated on a few lines of their written work and if they were then few of us would be left teaching in this world. Basically, I believe we all can improve and professionals, especially University professors, need to be supportive and not undermine the confidence of others for any reason. The job is tough enough without people like that in our profession and it is my heart felt belief we should be inclusive not exclusive in our evaluations of the teacher. On a positive note I believe most people can rise above their limits and in turn improve with encouragement and become not only great communicators in English yet be even more successful human beings. Something lost on that professor living somewhere in South America, but fortunately not lost on me and those who believe teaching is a profession.
