Ramblings
Been in London now for two months. A bit of traveling to Scotland and York served as a welcome break after I finished work in S.A. at the end of October (was contracted back for an additional month.) The New Year is here, and poses a great deal of challenges. The first of which is to find a new job. I'm torn between finding a computing position that pays well and persuing photography, which is closer to home at the moment, but doesn't pay as well. If nothing pops up in photography, I'll do computers for a while to see if I can sponsor a more freelanced-approach to photography later this year.

Resigned from my job last week. Quite a strange feeling, having sat here for six years. Put my car in the paper; sold within a few days. If I can get a visa, I will hopefully be joining my brother in the U.K. sometime after I finish here, end of September.

The past month has been truly eventful. I finished my six month part-time black and white photography course with an exhibition of five of my best pictures alongside my ten classmates'. The exhibition opened with a roaring success on June 21st - we received some very positive remarks. Hats off to the guys at Cape Town School of Photography. One of my pictures is up in the Gallery section of their web site.
The school got an e-mail from a relatively obscure TV channel saying they want to cover our exhibition. Three of us were chosen for interviews. The program aired several times on KykNet the week of July 7th and we were all very grateful for the exposure. More information on my project under photography.
