| The Troop 887 trip to Stratford, Canada was perhaps the best and most relaxing Girl Scout trip I have ever attended. We took a leisurely 9 hour (and one minute) drive to our destination, Stratford, Ontario. After arriving at about 6:30 PM, our group celebrated our arrival in Canada by taking a nice drive around downtown Stratford. The next day we hit the streets and walked around the town, shopping and having a good time. That evening we went to the Festival Theater to see a stunning and hilarious performance of The Taming of the Shrew. The next day we took a very nice tour of the Festival Theater, and also got to meet with two of the actors from the play, Gigi. We saw The King and I in the afternoon and Gigi in the evening. After 2 full days of an unmeasurable amount of fun and amusement, we were finally forced to bid farewell to Stratford. Although the trip was over, I will never ever forget the good times that we had there. The shows were like nothing I have ever seen before. I have nothing but praise and good words to say about everything at the festival. Looking back, I feel that this trip was an immense success. Not only was it a trip, but it was a vibrant and energetic testimony to Shakespeare and the world of theater. I would like to thank all of the people who made this trip possible. Thanks to the chaperones and all of the troop members who went. It was certainly an experience that I'll remember forever. -Nora |
