Dear Parents,
Next week our theme at the center will be "Fourth of July" followed by "Nighttime (Stars & Moon)." The weeks of July 15th & 22nd, the theme will be "Insects," and the theme for the last week will be "Circus." The shape of the month is a star. The colors of the month are Red, White, and Blue. DON'T FORGET: THE CENTER WILL BE CLOSED ON THURSDAY JULY 4TH!!

I am sad to announce that Kathy Lucien has resigned her position as Assistant Director. She is moving to California to be closer to her family. She will be leaving later this month. We wish her the best.

I would like to thank the parent group for putting together the Family Water Fun Day. The next parent meeting will be held on Tuesday July 9th. Dinner is from 5:30pm - 6:00pm, and the meeting is held from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Free child care is also provided. A sign-up sheet is located on the parent bulletin board.

On XXXday July XXth we have chartered a school bus to take the preschool children (3-5 year olds) to Scovill Children's Zoo in Decatur. We really need to have parent volunteers to come along or we will be forced to cancel the trip. More info will follow.

I have started working on the enrollment for the fall. It looks like we will have openings in all the classrooms. If you know anyone who is looking for child care, please let them know that we do have spaces available.

If you have not completed and returned the Child Care Food Program application yet, please turn it in as soon as possible! Only one form per family is necessary, and it is important that the form be dated by July 1, 2002. You may pick up a form in the office. July menus are attached. Have a great 4th of July holiday!
