MRS. E. VIVIAN SUMMONED
Young Mother Leaves Three Children---Funeral Thursday.
Mrs. Ethel Vivian, young resident
of this city died at her home at Old No. 3 last night at midnight.
Although she had been in poor health for the past five years, her condition
was not considered critical until three days ago.
Since that time she became gradually worse
until death ended her suffering.
Ethel Spalding was born in this city April
1, 1895, and always resided here. Fifteen yeas ago, December 30,
she became the bride of Eli Vivian who survives. The were the parents
of three children, Lester, Eli and Beatrice, all at home.
The decedent's stepfather, Matt Reid of
this city remains, as do one half brother, Matt Reid, Jr. of Chicago, and
four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Thompson, Orient, Ill., Margaret Reid,
Orient, Jeanette Reid, Chicago, and Agnes Reid of this
city.
Mrs. Vivian was a faithful member of the
Methodist Episcopal church, and the pastor, Rev. H. M. Bloomer will conduct
the funereal services which are to be held from the home on Thursday afternoon
at 3 o'clock. Interment will occur in the Moon cemetery. |
