1894:
Elizabeth Moon, at her late residence, No. 215 South Park street, at the advanced age of 77 years. Deceased had been enjoying good health until recently, when she was attacked with the grippe [1]. Mrs. Moon was one of the oldest settlers in this part of the country, having come here with her parents some 63 years ago. She was united in marriage to Mr. Moon when but 15 years old, her husband dying about twenty-seven years ago. Four children survive her---Ammon B. Moon and Mrs. L. M. Sawyer, of this city; Mrs. H. B. Shuler(Schuler), of Chicago; and Jacob Moon of Clarinda, Iowa. Mrs. Shuler is at present in the Bermuda Islands, and will not be here for the funeral. The funeral services will be held at the residence of Mr. L. M. Sawyer, in Eagle township tomorrow, forenoon at 10 o'clock, Rev. Stoltz officiating, and the interment will be made in the Moon cemetery. [1] Influenza |
