Olive Madden
1911-2002

   Olive A. Madden, 91, of 606 E. Morrell St., died at 7:08 a.m. Monday, June 10,  2002, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
    Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Central Church of Christ, the Rev. Timothy Hughes officiating. Music will be provided by organist Cheryl Cinnamon.
   Cremation rites have been accorded. Elias Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
   Born April 24, 1911, in Streator, she was the daughter of Oliver and Rebecca (Allen) Robinson. She married Ralph Meyers. He died in 1969. She later married Clinton Madden. He died in 1989.
   Surviving are sons, Dale (Nancy) Meyers of Chana and Robert (Pam) Meyers of Streator; a daughter, Judy Ciaccio of Oregon, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, William Dean, Florida.
   Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Joy Dean; a brother, William Robinson; and sisters, Lucille McDowell and Emily Samson.
   She was a licensed practical nurse working at both St. Mary’s Hospital and William W. Fox Developmental Center, Dwight.
   She was formerly a member of the garden club, a member of the Lily of the Valley Rebekah Lodge 115 and past president of the Republican Women Club.
   She belonged to The Young at Heart organization and was very active in her church. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ.
   She attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1929 and also attended Illinois Valley Community College, Oglesby.

   Memorials may be directed to her church.
