BETTY J. HEFLER TAKEN BY DEATH
Only Child of Former Local Couple is Brought Here
for Burial Tomorrow.
Childish laughter and the patter of tiny
feet in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Hefler of Cossopolis, Mich, former
local residents,
have been silenced by the death which entered the Hefler
home Friday and summoned their only child, Betty Jane. The seven-year-old
girl's death occurred shortly after she had been
stricken with an acute attack of appendicitis Word
of her
passing was a shock to her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Evans, 119 W Twelfth St., of this city with whom she had
visited just a week ago.
Betty Jane was born in Streator, March 12,1930
and while she was still a baby her parents moved to Cossopolis where Mr.
Hefler is employed. A lovable child, she was a
favorite among
her playmates and her classmates who will miss her at
school
and at play.
She is survived by her father and mother,
who was Miss Gladys Evans, prior to her marriage, and her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held from the home
of the latter
tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Burial will be in Moon cemetery. |
